How to continue receiving Windows 10 updates after end of support
This guide explains how users can stay on Windows 10 and receive official updates even after support ends on October 14, 2025.

Problem
- Upgrading to Windows 11 is not an option for many due to outdated hardware that doesn't meet the requirements.
- Some users just don't like Windows 11 and prefer to stay on Windows 10 for as long as possible.
Solutions
Below are a few options to help you continue using Windows 10:
1. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC
Microsoft offers two servicing channels for Windows:
- GAC (General Availability Channel): Includes Home, Pro, and Enterprise editions. Support will end on October 14, 2025.
- LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel): Includes Enterprise LTSC and IoT Enterprise LTSC versions, which have longer support lifecycles.
Here are the end of support deadlines:
- Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021: Supported until January 12, 2027.
- Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021: Supported until January 13, 2032.
What does it mean?
You can install Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021, the official edition of Windows 10 with extended support. This will allow you to receive security and system updates up to 2032.
